Baku has strongly condemned a documentary film about Nagorno-Karabakh aired by the âVoice of America.â
âThe program prepared by the Voice of America âpromotes separatism and aggression,â Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hikmet Hajiyev said, Azeri media report.
Hajiyev said the program, which doesnât take into account and doesnât reflect the position of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh and refugees is âunfair and biased.â
The âVoice of Americaâ broadcasted on October 18 a program titled âKarabakh: Peaceful life near the ghosts of war.âThe film presents the stance of Artsakh people, who do not even want to hear about the talks held around the destiny of their motherland. âWhat the international community treats as simply a territory, we call it a Sacred Motherland,â the authors of the film quote Artsakh residents as saying.
